Meet at the kanoe locker (uphill from the Textbook Annex on the way to the parking garage), NOT the gear locker, to get your paddle, PFD, and helmet.
Be on time - the dam releases are on a tight schedule.
Bring: Lunch, warm clothes to change into after the trip
River Wear: Old sneakers or river shoes of some sort, non-cotton clothing, and maybe a fleece or splash jacket if the weather is cooler. You WILL get wet.
NO BARE FEET OR FLIP FLOPS.
Beginners may go on these trips, but you MUST be a competent-enough swimmer to not panic if you fall into turbulent water.

Please call Al Howcroft at 413 256 1301 to confirm a spot on this trip and to get details regarding meeting time and cost.
If there's no answer, be sure to clearly leave your name and phone number in the message so he can call you back.
Let him know if you can bring a car for transporting people to the river (about 45 miles from campus).
If you sign up, please show up. There is a waiting list to fill your spot, but it's too late to find a replacement the day of the trip!
